He *promised that he is doing everything he can. He told me about how well his staff watches the parking lot to ensure the safety of their visitors and their property, how close he works with the Auburn police department, and the mayor. He preached this at me roughly 5 or 6 times in our 43 minute conversation. He preached politics at me, told me that I need to call city officials, call the mayor and vote (assuming that I don't do those things while also assuming that I don't live 80 miles away in a different city). He disrupted me multiple times, talked over the top of me and completely missed the point of my follow-up. Not surprisingly, he also lacked acknowledgement of negligence, accountability and willingness to listen. I requested to talk to the general property manager of the mall and we connected on December 1st. Rather than acknowledging the negligence of his security staff, he explained to me that this is a common occurrence all over King, Pierce, and Thurston counties and basically all over western and eastern Washington. I followed up a few days later with the *head of security via phone call. As the witness was explaining what she saw to the police, the security guard was rolling his eyes, smirking and shrugging his shoulders. Mall security had a dismissive attitude towards the whole situation. My truck was stolen from their parking lot along with 8 other vehicles and numerous catalytic converters were cut from other vehicles on Saturday alone (November 27th). I visited this mall as a vendor during black Friday weekend.
